Biography:
Ekaterina advises clients on a broad range of U.S. and international tax matters, including in connection with fund formations, joint ventures (JVs), mergers & acquisitions (M&A), restructurings and financing arrangements. Her practice focuses on the structuring and operations of alternative investment funds globally, including private equity, venture capital, credit, secondary, fund-of-funds, hedge funds and hybrid/evergreen funds. Ekaterina also has broad experience advising on co-investments, separately managed accounts, fund-of-one structures, strategic joint ventures and other bespoke arrangements.
Ekaterina routinely represents both fund sponsors and limited partners (LPs) in connection with their global investments and operations. She has extensive experience advising large, multinational, multi-strategy fund managers and sovereign wealth investors on a variety of U.S. and international tax planning issues.
Ekaterina has also advised clients on an array of other complex U.S. and cross-border transactions, including stock offerings, fund secondary transaction, cross-border lending, and royalty investing and intellectual property (IP) monetization structures.
